Manitoba Genealogical Society ~
A non-profit
organization formed in 1976 and incorporated in 1982. The Society promotes
and encourages an interest in genealogy and family history in Manitoba. The main
objectives of MGS are:
- To collect and preserve local genealogical
and historical records and materials
- To foster education in genealogical research
through Society workshops and seminars
- To encourage production of genealogical
materials relating especially to Manitoba

About the Dauphin
Family History Group ~
- Supports the Dauphin Branch - MGS
- The Branch was organized in 1979
- The Charter is from the Manitoba Genealogical
Society
- For over 27 years, our Members have been
promoting Genealogy in Manitoba
and in particular the Dauphin and surrounding area
- The Branch is proud of the Resource Assets
it possesses to aid in your research. These holdings are owned by the
Dauphin Family History Group and are on loan to the Dauphin Branch.
They are kept in a secure location at the Dauphin Public Library.
- The Branch members are very active in local
Historical activities and regularly contribute to the Heritage Fair
and activities at the Fort Dauphin Museum
